Football Game Preview: Liberty Center Tigers vs. Wheelersburg Pirates

The Liberty Center Tigers will square off against the Wheelersburg Pirates at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Liberty Center will come into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

Liberty Center is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Indian Lake, posting a 42-10 win. Considering the Tigers have won 13 matchups by more than 28 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Wheelersburg strolled past Cardinal Mooney with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 24-10.

Liberty Center better keep an eye on Braylon Rucker. He was instrumental in Wheelersburg's win, rushing for 125 yards and one TD. Those 125 rushing yards gave Rucker a new career-high. Elijah Brown helped out on the ground, rushing for 110 yards.

Wheelersburg was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 239 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 151 rushing yards in seven consecutive games.

Wheelersburg's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB four times. In that department, Hunter Henderson was the leader with three sacks.
