Volleyball Recap: Greeley West Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Greeley West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Greeley Central Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Greeley West sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 9-25, 26-24, 16-25, 15-13.

Nadia Serrano paced Greeley West's offense, picking up 12 kills. Serrano got some help from Mya Salazar and her 33 assists. Salazar was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Greeley West's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Greeley Central, their victory ended a four-match drought on the road and puts them at 2-6.

Greeley West wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Fossil Ridge on the 24th. As for Greeley Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Wellington on the 23rd.
