Basketball Recap: New Iberia Comes Up Short

New Iberia lost against Westgate last Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The New Iberia Yellowjackets were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 43-42 to the Westgate Tigers.

New Iberia's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-12. As for Westgate, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-10.

While New Iberia had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Tuesday.
