Soccer Recap: Waubonsie Valley Falls Short of Oswego in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Waubonsie Valley can now relate to. They fell just short of the Oswego Panthers by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Waubonsie Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 91st, while Oswego are ranked 26th).

Waubonsie Valley's loss dropped their record down to 7-10-5. As for Oswego, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-4-1 record this season.
