The Proviso West Panthers will head out on the road to take on the Willowbrook Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Proviso West is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

Proviso West's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Lyons on Friday. They were dealt a 51-0 defeat at the hands of the Lions. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 363rd, while the Lions are ranked 38th).

Meanwhile, the third road game was the charm for Willowbrook, as they earned their first away win of the season. They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 49-6 victory over Berwyn/Cicero Morton. That looming 49-6 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Warriors yet this season.

Willowbrook has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.3 points over those games. As for Proviso West, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Proviso West was taken down by Willowbrook 35-0 in their previous meeting back in September of 2016. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
