Basketball Recap: Salem Takes a Loss

After flying high against Radford last Wednesday, Salem came back down to earth. The Salem Spartans fell just short of the Patrick Henry Patriots by a score of 57-55 on Friday. The Spartans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Patriots earlier this season, when they won 54-47.

Salem's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 9-1 and their overall record down to 16-4. As for Patrick Henry, their win was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Salem will challenge Pulaski County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Patrick Henry, they will square off against North Cross at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
