Softball Recap: Centerville Comes Up Short

Centerville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 16-4 to the Leon Cougars. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by exactly 12 runs.

Skyler Selvog was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Tobi Chrisman, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and two RBI.

Centerville's record now sits at 0-12. As for Leon, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-9 record this season.

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Centerville Tigers challenge Oakwood Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Centerville is facing Oakwood at the right time seeing as Oakwood is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Leon, they will welcome Lovelady at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
