Volleyball Recap: East Wake's Undefeated Season over After Three Games + How To Watch

East Wake lost against West Johnston back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Warriors lost 3-0 to the Wildcats. The loss put an end to the Warriors' undefeated start to the season.

While East Wake was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-22, 25-18.

Among those leading the charge was Aubrey Lawhorn, who had four aces and three digs. Lawhorn is crushing it when it comes to aces: she's served at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

East Wake's loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-1. As for West Johnston, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Wake will take on Cary at 6:00 p.m. on the 28th. As for West Johnston, they will welcome Corinth Holders at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
