Charlotte Christian blew Charlotte Latin out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Charlotte Latin got their revenge. The Knights fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 7-5. The Knights' loss signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.

Owen Farrell made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Derek Vazquez, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one double.

Charlotte Christian's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 23-5. As for Charlotte Latin, they pushed their record up to 17-3 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Charlotte Christian will square off against Covenant Day at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight. As for Charlotte Latin, they will face off against Union Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
