Susquehanna Valley came tearing into  Monday's  contest with four straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Windsor Central Black Knights, sneaking past  3-1. While the Sabers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-7), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
 Trey Swartwout was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit. Swartwout was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  stolen bases.
 Swartwout wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Adam Spisak, who  went 1-for-3 with one  RBI.
Susquehanna Valley's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Windsor Central, they now  have a losing record of 0-1-1.
Susquehanna Valley will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Black Knights: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 11:00  a.m.  on Wednesday.
