Basketball Recap: South Dearborn Picks Up Seventh Straight Win at Home

After losing to Harrison the last time they met, South Dearborn decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The South Dearborn Knights walked away with a 71-64 win over the Harrison Wildcats on Saturday. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 159th in Indiana, while the Wildcats are ranked 611th in Ohio), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Harrison lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Brody Mumfrey, who went 7 of 9 on his way to 16 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tucker Ward, who went 8 of 18 on his way to 19 points along with five assists and four steals.

South Dearborn's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Harrison, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
