Football Game Preview: Stuttgart Ricebirds vs. Crossett Eagles

The Stuttgart Ricebirds will venture away from home to square off against the Crossett Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Crossett will be up against a hot Stuttgart squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. Everything went the Ricebirds' way against Central on Friday as they made off with a 49-28 victory. Considering the Ricebirds have won three matchups by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Crossett and Star City meet (five straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Eagles simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Bulldogs 42-12.

Stuttgart's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Crossett, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Everything came up roses for Stuttgart against Crossett in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 42-14 win. In that game, the Ricebirds amassed a halftime lead of 35-6, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
