Flag Football Recap: Chatfield Wins High-Profile Game Against Columbine + How To Watch

Chatfield faced Columbine in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Chargers walked away with a 32-20 victory over the Rebels. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Chargers considering their 12-point performance the contest before.

Chatfield's defense made their presence known, laying out Ella Rieben four times. Columbine's QB won't forget Vyolet Harris anytime soon given she sacked her twice. Harris has been hot recently, having posted at least one sack the last four times she's played.

Columbine lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Rieben, who rushed for 42 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also threw for 274 yards and one TD. She also deserves a shoutout for her performance on D, making five total tackles and defending two passes in addition to snagging an interception.

Chatfield's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 7-7. As for Columbine, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-7 record.

Chatfield wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 49-7 loss against Arvada West on the 8th. As for Columbine, they have also already played their next matchup, an 18-6 defeat against Ralston Valley on the 8th.
