Oklahoma powerhouse athletic program has top-notch facilities.

Some schools have notable football fields. Others have remarkable gymnasiums.

Union (Tulsa, Okla.) has both - and more.

The Oklahoma high school football powerhouse boasts a spectacular football stadium that has seen Union capture four of the last six Class 6A state titles. Union's Tuttle Stadium has a seating capacity of approximately 10,000 and was dedicated on Sept. 24, 1976.

The adjacent athletics building contains top-notch weightroom and training facilities and the "Redskin Room," a 4,300 square-foot banquet facility that overlooks the football field. It may be one of the most luxurious seats for a high school football game anywhere.

The John Q. Hammons Arena, commonly known as the UMAC (Union Multipurpose Activity Center), has been home to the team's basketball program since its construction in 2003. It also hosts cheerleading competitions, trade shows, performances and in the 2000s it played home to the Summit League Men's Basketball Championship, with the winner earning a bid to the NCAA Division I Mens Basketball Tournament. The arena, which has state-of-the-art video boards, seats 5,662.

Union hosts Edmond Memorial on Friday in the first round of the Oklahoma 6A-I football playoffs.
