Softball Recap: Camden County Bruins vs. James Kenan Tigers        
        
		
            
 With a playoff game on the line, Camden County rose to the challenge  on Tuesday. They never let the James Kenan Tigers onto the board and left with  a   9-0  victory. The result was nothing new for Camden County, who have now won 12 matches by six  runs or more  so far this season.
  Carlyn Tanis made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run over seven innings pitched. Tanis has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in five consecutive pitching appearances. Tanis was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with two  runs, a  triple,  and a  double.
 In other batting news, Camden County let  Emma Young and  Audrey Jones loose on the outfield. Young  went 3-for-3 with two  RBI, while  Jones  went 2-for-2 with a  stolen base and  an  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Tessa Dodson, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 3-for-4.
 The  win (which was Camden County's seventh in a row) raised their record to 18-2. As for James Kenan,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 8-12.
 Camden County will be playing at home against Ayden - Grifton at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. Camden County will be looking to keep their nine-game home win streak  alive. James Kenan does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
