Football Recap: Northeast Vikings vs. Sedan Devils

Northeast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 36-28 to the Sedan Devils. One positive for the Vikings, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Despite the loss, Northeast saw an underclassman step up: Camryn Stansbury threw for 268 yards and four touchdowns. Those 268 passing yards set a new season-high mark for Stansbury. A healthy portion of that aerial production (88 yards to be exact) went to Tayven Willard.

Northeast's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Sedan, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

Northeast will take on Oswego at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Oswego knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Northeast likes a good challenge. As for Sedan, they will challenge West Elk at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Elk will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Sedan surely won't give up without a fight.
