League recap: Harrison scores huge upset over Shiloh Christian

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Shiloh Christian, who took down 72nd ranked Shiloh Christian, 14-10.

Ryan Medina and Colton Smith provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Greenbrier. The connection went for 74 yards, the longest such play in 5A West this season.

Seth Peters and Austin Fischer gave the Panthers a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Peters threw for 248 yards and three touchdowns, while Fischer ran for 139 yards. Peters also contributed to the rushing game with 84 yards on the ground.

Jacob Colbert made the biggest impact on defense this week as Greenbrier defeated Clarksville. The 6-foot-0 senior grabbed two interceptions.

Smith was the best wideout in the league this week as the Panthers fell to Randy Tribble's team. Smith tallied seven receptions for 175 yards. Ronnie Green helped Clarksville's passing attack out by catching two balls for 23 yards.

Thanks to the talents of Peters and Fischer the Panthers have been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Peters leads the league in passing with 1782 yards, while Fischer has rushed for 519 yards this season. The Saints' Ryan Michaelis leads the league in receiving yards with 780 on 44 catches.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Vilonia takes on Alma. The Eagles are in second place, while the Airedales are in third place.

There should be lots of points scored when Shiloh Christian and Greenbrier face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Josh Floyd's team comes in having scored 143 this season, while the Panthers have scored 296. The Saints scored 10 points last week as they lost to Harrison.

Greenbrier was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after defeating Clarksville. The Panthers came in at 12 in the state poll after placing at number 29 last week.
