Corner Canyon's tournament run continued when they took on Lufkin on Saturday. The Chargers enjoyed a cozy 67-49 victory over the Panthers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Chargers.

Corner Canyon's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Josh Tolman, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 13 boards. Those 13 rebounds gave Tolman a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Dillon Roberts, who went 9-for-14 on his way to 24 points.

Corner Canyon now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Lufkin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-3.

Looking ahead, Corner Canyon will head out on the road to take on Herriman at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Chargers' defense better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 63.6 points per game this season. As for Lufkin, they will be home for the holidays to greet Nacogdoches at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
