Basketball Recap: Canby Comes Up Short

Canby was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Lakeview Lakers an easy 69-49 victory. The Lancers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lakers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February.

Canby's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Lakeview, their win ended an 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4.

Canby and Lake Park-Audubon will round out the year against one another at at 5:00 p.m. on December 27th. As for Lakeview, they will be home for the holidays to greet Minneota at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lakeview has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
