There's no place like home for Jefferson, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They had just enough and edged the Brackenridge Eagles out 2-1. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but the Mustangs were the better team in the second half.

Alex Hernandez and Christopher Esquivel scored both of Jefferson's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Jefferson pushed their record up to 8-6-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored nine goals over those three matches. As for Brackenridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-11.

Looking ahead, Jefferson will take on Sam Houston at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Brackenridge, they will square off against Seguin at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
