Soccer Recap: Gilbert Comes Up Short

Gilbert was the 8-0 winner over Midland Valley when they last played one another back in April of 2016, but their luck changed this time around. The Gilbert Indians came up short against the Midland Valley Mustangs on Thursday, falling 4-1.

Gilbert's goal came courtesy of Felixs Sanchez, which was the first he's scored this season.

Gilbert's loss dropped their record down to 2-2-2. As for Midland Valley, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Gilbert will venture away from home to take on North Augusta at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Midland Valley, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, an 8-0 win against Airport on the 14th.
