Flag Football Game Preview: Hawkinsville Red Devils vs. Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane + Official Tickets

The Hawkinsville Red Devils are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge the Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Hawkinsville has struggled recently with four losses in a row, while Fitzgerald will arrive with eight straight victories.

Hawkinsville's offense might be in the hot seat on Tuesday considering what happened against Montgomery County on Thursday. They took a 6-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles.

Hawkinsville didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Malia Hunlen and Harmoni Gaines.

Meanwhile, Fitzgerald blew past Treutlen, posting a 33-6 win. The Purple Hurricane might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by 22 points or more this season.

Fitzgerald's victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Hawkinsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Hawkinsville came up short against Fitzgerald when the teams last played back in November of 2024, falling 13-7. Can the Red Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
