Soccer Game Preview: South Rowan vs. Robinson

The South Rowan Raiders will head out to face off against the Robinson Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

South Rowan took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 6-2 margin over West Rowan. Considering South Rowan have won six matches by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting West Rowan from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Peyton Bell led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Robinson kept a clean sheet against Concord on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Spiders with a sharp 8-0 victory. The win continues a trend for Robinson in their matchups with Concord: they've now won five in a row.

South Rowan's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Robinson, their win bumped their record up to 6-11.

South Rowan came out on top in a nail-biter against Robinson when the teams last played back in April, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
