Volleyball Game Preview: McMichael Phoenix vs. Bartlett Yancey Buccaneers

The McMichael Phoenix will square off against the Bartlett Yancey Buccaneers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

On Tuesday, McMichael made easy work of Rockingham County and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Phoenix.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-10, 25-17.

Walkertown typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Bartlett Yancey proved too difficult a challenge. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Wolfpack. The win continues a trend for the Buccaneers in their matchups with the Wolfpack: they've now won three in a row.

Bartlett Yancey never let Walkertown on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 27-25, 25-13.

Bartlett Yancey's victory bumped their record up to 16-4. As for McMichael, their win bumped their record up to 20-10.

Everything went McMichael's way against Bartlett Yancey in their previous matchup back in September, as McMichael made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Phoenix repeat their success, or do the Buccaneers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
