Recap: Riverdale Academy Rebels vs. Wilkinson County Christian Academy Rams
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Riverdale Academy Rebels had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They beat the Rams by the very same score they won with last week: 71-51. Riverdale Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 20 points or more this season.
When it comes to explaining why Wilkinson County Christian Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is JACK ORGERON. Despite the final result, he scored 24 points along with six assists and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of EASTON BUTEAUX, who scored 13 points along with four steals.
The victory (which was Riverdale Academy's third in a row) raised their record to 10-11. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 25 points. As for Wilkinson County Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season.
Riverdale Academy will take on Claiborne Academy at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Riverdale Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 198 points over their last three matchups. Wilkinson County Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
