Basketball Recap: Kokomo Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Eliana Stewart and Jhordyn Brown

Kokomo lost against Tippecanoe Valley back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Kokomo Wildkats took a 45-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tippecanoe Valley Vikings.

Kokomo's loss came despite strong showings from Jhordyn Brown and Eliana Stewart. Brown went 5 of 9 on her way to 14 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals, while Stewart posted ten points and six boards.

Kokomo's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Tippecanoe Valley, the win got them back to even at 10-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kokomo will face off against Tipton at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Kokomo is facing Tipton at the right time seeing as Tipton is stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Tippecanoe Valley, they will square off against Wawasee at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
