Basketball Recap: Washburn Takes a Loss

After flying high against Mercer last Friday, Washburn came back down to earth. The Washburn Castle Guards came up short against the Solon Springs Eagles on Tuesday, falling 44-23. The game marked the Castle Guards' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Washburn now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Solon Springs, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-6.

Washburn will be playing in front of their home fans against South Shore at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Solon Springs, they are taking a road trip to face off against Butternut at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Solon Springs is facing Butternut at the right time seeing as Butternut is stuck on a 13-game losing streak.
