Soccer Game Preview: San Angelo Central vs. Midland

The San Angelo Central Bobcats are taking a road trip to take on the Midland Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams beat their previous opponents by a single goal, so this matchup might be just as contested.

San Angelo Central proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They beat Permian by a goal, winning 2-1. The win was all the more spectacular given the Bobcats' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while the Panthers are ranked 90th).

Meanwhile, Midland kept a clean sheet against Odessa on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Bronchos 1-0. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Bronchos recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Midland's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for San Angelo Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-8 record this season.
