Baseball Game Preview: Glencoe Yellowjackets vs. Jacksonville Golden Eagles

The Glencoe Yellowjackets will head out on the road to take on the Jacksonville Golden Eagles at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Glencoe has given up an average of 10.9 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Glencoe lost 13-3 to North Sand Mountain on Monday.

Meanwhile, Jacksonville fell victim to Lincoln and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Bears. The Golden Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jacksonville now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Glencoe, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.

Glencoe couldn't quite finish off Jacksonville when the teams last played back in February of 2024 and fell 7-5. Can Glencoe avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
