Basketball Recap: Robbinsdale Cooper's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Robbinsdale Cooper lost against Richfield back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Robbinsdale Cooper Hawks fell 85-76 to the Richfield Spartans. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 278th, while the Spartans are ranked 67th).

Robbinsdale Cooper's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-9. As for Richfield, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-4.

The future could be bright for both Robbinsdale Cooper and Richfield: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Robbinsdale Cooper will try to hand Simley their seventh-straight loss when the two meet at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Richfield will look to extend Mound-Westonka's three-game losing streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
