It was a good run, but South Salem unfortunately witnessed the end of their 11-game winning streak on Saturday. They came up short against the Franklin Quakers, falling 3-0. The match marked the first time this season in which the Saxons were not able to get on the board.

Matheus Borges paced South Salem's offense, picking up eight kills. Borges got some help from Connor Wolfgram and his 21 assists. Eddie Hernandez controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

South Salem's defeat dropped their record down to 18-2.

South Salem has already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against North Medford on the 24th. Franklin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
