Volleyball Recap: Buchanan Takes a Loss

Buchanan was the 2-0 winner over St. John Bosco when they last played one another on Friday, but their luck changed this time around. The Bears took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Braves on Saturday.

While Buchanan was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by exactly two points. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-23.

When it comes to explaining why Buchanan lost, don't look at Cole Haroldsen. Despite the final result, he had 14 assists and three digs. Haroldsen has been hot, having posted 12 or more assists the last seven times he's played.

Buchanan's defeat dropped their record down to 21-15. As for St. John Bosco, their win bumped their record up to 22-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Buchanan will welcome Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. John Bosco, they will challenge Mater Dei at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
