Recap: Liberty Union Lions vs. Bloom-Carroll Bulldogs
The Liberty Union Lions struggled with threes on Monday (the Bloom-Carroll Bulldogs had five more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Liberty Union took a serious blow against Bloom-Carroll, falling 63-21. Liberty Union has not had much luck with Bloom-Carroll recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Gabby Howell was Liberty Union's leading scorer, having posted six points.
Morgan Love held things down on the boards with five rebounds. She took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.
It was another big night for Emily Bratton, who scored 29 points along with nine rebounds and three steals for Bloom-Carroll. The match was Bratton's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Tessa Brooks, who scored ten points.
Liberty Union's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Bloom-Carroll, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty Union will take on Amanda-Clearcreek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Amanda-Clearcreek presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Liberty Union in Ohio (Amanda-Clearcreek is ranked 116th, while Liberty Union is ranked 357th). As for Bloom-Carroll, they will head out on the road to face off against Logan Elm at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
