Softball Recap: Baldwin Sets Scoring Season-High Against Wolfson

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Baldwin). They put the hurt on the Wolfson Wolfpack with a sharp 15-0 win on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Lilly Hubbard looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Madison Crews was incredible, scoring three runs while going 2-for-2. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendall North, who scored three runs while going 2-for-2.

Baldwin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .704. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Baldwin has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Wolfson, the defeat snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 11-3 record.

Looking ahead, Baldwin will venture away from home to face off against Oakleaf at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wolfson, they will welcome Stanton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
