Basketball Recap: Wayland Academy Takes a Loss

Wayland Academy was the 54-52 winner over Horicon when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Wayland Academy Big Red came up short against the Horicon Marshmen on Friday, falling 84-63. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (57), the Big Red still had to take the loss.

Wayland Academy has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season. Horicon pushed their record up to 13-9 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wayland Academy will host Hustisford at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Horicon, they will challenge Lomira at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
