Baseball Recap: Chester Takes a Loss

Chester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 13-3 to the Interboro Buccaneers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Buccaneers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 24-2 back in March.

Chester saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jorge Nunez, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3. Neaven Diaz was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Chester's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Interboro, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Chester will challenge rival Academy Park at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Interboro is set to square off against their familiar foe Chichester at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
