Softball Recap: Dunkerton Triumphs

Dunkerton's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Janesville Wildcats 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Raiders have posted against the Wildcats since May 29, 2024.

Dunkerton's victory bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Janesville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.

Dunkerton will take on Clarksville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Indians' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Raiders' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Janesville, they will face off against Don Bosco at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Dons will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
