Softball Recap: Mountain View Comes Up Short

Mountain View lost to Prairie last Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Thunder came up short against the Falcons, falling 6-0. The Thunder have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Peyton Lalande spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up seven Ks.

Mountain View's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Prairie, they pushed their record up to 11-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Coming up, Mountain View will square off against Heritage at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Thunder's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Timberwolves have averaged an impressive 9.8 runs per game this season. As for Prairie, they will take on Kelso at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
