The Freedom C Cowboys will head out to face off against the Lighthouse HomeSchool Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Freedom C's defense has only allowed 13.6 points per game this season, so Lighthouse HomeSchool's offense will have their work cut out for them.
Freedom C is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another highly-ranked state team: CSTHEA, who was ranked sixth in their home state at the time (Freedom C was ranked seventh). The Cowboys simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Patriots 38-6. The Cowboys might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 30 points or more this season.

Among those leading the charge was Jonathan Callan, who rushed for 99 yards and two touchdowns. He has become a key player for Freedom C: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.
Freedom C didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Briggs Brady, Landon Milde, and Sterling Hershey picked up one apiece. Hershey got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Lighthouse HomeSchool was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by Evangel Christian and fell 50-14. The contest marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring game so far this season.
Although Lighthouse HomeSchool took the loss, they still got scores from JADEN COSPER and HENRY SMITH.
Freedom C is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.0 points over those games. As for Lighthouse HomeSchool, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Freedom C has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 184.1 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Lighthouse HomeSchool struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 169.2 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Freedom C against Lighthouse HomeSchool in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 54-16 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cowboys since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
