Recap: Judson Rockets vs. San Marcos Rattlers
The Judson Rockets won the last time they faced the San Marcos Rattlers, and things went their way on Friday too. Judson claimed a resounding 48-16 victory over San Marcos on the road. Given Judson's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 224th, while San Marcos is ranked 762nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Leading Judson to victory were Nathaniel Stanley and Elijah Favela. Stanley rushed for 115 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries, while Favela threw for 281 yards and four touchdowns. Davian Watson was in the mix as well, providing Judson with two touchdowns.
Judson's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for San Marcos, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Judson will challenge Steele at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Steele will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. As for San Marcos, they will head out on the road to face off against New Braunfels at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
