Volleyball Recap: Yana Jensen and Micki Millsaps Secure Win for Lake Braddock + How To Watch

Lake Braddock hadn't done well against Woodson recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Bruins walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Cavaliers. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Lake Braddock had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-17, 25-20, 25-20.

Leading Lake Braddock to victory were Micki Millsaps and Yana Jensen. Millsaps had 24 assists and 12 digs, while Jensen had 15 digs and four assists. Jensen has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more digs the last 13 times she's played.

Lake Braddock was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in four consecutive matches.

Lake Braddock has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. As for Woodson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.
