Softball Preview: Quitman Bulldogs vs. Mineola Yellowjackets
Quitman hasn't had much luck against Mineola recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Quitman will head out to challenge Mineola at 6:00 p.m.
Quitman is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Eustace, falling 10-3.
Meanwhile, Mineola waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Bulldogs 21-1. Considering the Yellowjackets have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Jadelyn Marshall made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Marshall was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Journie Wilson was a standout: she fired off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most home runs she has posted since back in February.
