Football Recap: Wilson Tigers vs. Darlington Falcons
Wilson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took a hard 36-20 fall against the Darlington Falcons. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.
Jaylen Augustus was his usual excellent self, rushing for 177 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, and also throwing for 88 yards and two touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes for Darlington. That's the most rushing yards Augustus has posted since back in August. Troy Hailey handled things on the ground, rushing for 111 yards.
Wilson's record now sits at 1-9. As for Darlington, they moved to 5-5 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
