Basketball Recap: Marshall Comes Up Short

Marshall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a hard 66-49 fall against the Sloan-Hendrix Greyhounds. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 65th, while the Greyhounds are ranked 19th).

Marshall's loss dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Sloan-Hendrix, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 26-3.

Marshall has already played their next contest (against Cedar Ridge), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Sloan-Hendrix will head out to square off against Cotter at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Sloan-Hendrix has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 194 points over their last three matches.
