Football Recap: Weleetka Outlaws vs. Thackerville Wildcats
Weleetka won against Cyril last Friday with 50 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. The Weleetka Outlaws claimed a resounding 50-0 victory over the Thackerville Wildcats at home. A big part of Weleetka's win came down to the chemistry between Isaiah Drake and his top target Isaac Drake. Isaiah threw for 156 yards and three touchdowns on only seven passes while Isaac gained 156 total yards and two touchdowns. Weleetka didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. Remington Neal picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown.
Weleetka pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Thackerville, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-2.
Weleetka will venture away from home to square off against Strother at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Weleetka knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past seven matches -- so hopefully Strother likes a good challenge. As for Thackerville, they will face off against Wetumka at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
