Softball Recap: Saturday's Defeat Ends Jurupa Hills' Winning Streak

If Jurupa Hills was riding high fresh off their 15-5 takedown of Heritage on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Jurupa Hills came up short against the Camarillo Scorpions on Saturday, falling 12-1. The Spartans were red-hot at the plate heading into the game (they scored no less than ten runs in the four contests prior), but the Scorpions' pitchers proved too tough.

Jurupa Hills saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaylin Olguin, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Jurupa Hills moved to 6-4 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Camarillo, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season.

Jurupa Hills has already played their next game, a 13-1 defeat against Saugus on the 29th. As for Camarillo, they will take on Moorpark at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Moorpark will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Camarillo surely won't give up without a fight.
