Mount Academy extended their winning streak to eight on Wednesday, bumping them up to 38-4-2. They put the hurt on the Millbrook Blazers with a sharp 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Gina O'Connell paced Mount Academy's offense, picking up ten kills. O'Connell got some help from Marion Winter and her 20 assists. Finally, Meghan Hofer kept Mount Academy's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

As for Millbrook, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 10-1 and their overall record down to 20-12-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat they have suffered since November 9, 2024.

Millbrook's loss came despite strong showings from Lydia Kascsak and Nina Lapine. Kascsak had 11 digs and one assist, while Lapine had nine kills and six digs. Lapine has been hot, having posted six or more kills the last five times she's played.

As of now, neither Mount Academy nor Millbrook have any future games scheduled.
