Wellington waltzed into their matchup on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the Pittsburg Dragons by a score of 4-0. Those four runs were actually the fewest the Crusaders have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Wellington pushed their record up to 8-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Pittsburg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Coming up, Wellington will venture away from home to take on Buhler at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pittsburg, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-3 loss against Blue Valley North on the 12th.
