Volleyball Recap: Stuart Takes a Loss

Stuart was the 3-0 winner over Osmond when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Broncos fell 2-0 to the Tigers on Tuesday.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-14.

Paityn Sheffield paced Stuart's offense, picking up five kills. Sheffield got some help from Kyra Tubbs and her nine assists. Tubbs was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Leading Osmond to victory were Korrine Moes and Carianna Kumm. Moes had three digs, three aces, and one block, while Kumm had four blocks and two aces. That's the most aces Kumm has posted since back in October of 2024.

Stuart's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Osmond, their win ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 5-17.

Coincidentally, Stuart and Osmond will both be playing St. Mary's the next time they take the court. The Broncos will head out to face the Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Tigers will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
