Softball Recap: East Mountain Timberwolves vs. Dexter Demons

East Mountain had lost 12 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 0-19 to make it 13. They lost 16-0 to the Dexter Demons. If the Timberwolves were looking for revenge after losing 18-0 to the Demons when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Dexter, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by ten runs or more this season.

For Dexter's part, East Mountain's batters probably weren't too happy with Danyela Munoz, who pitched a no hitter (she gave up a single walk). Munoz has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Hannah Sanders was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, five RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Miller, who went 1-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Dexter beat East Mountain by a score of 16-0 later that day.
